Reason for Mute: Saying the N-word

Why I should be un-muted: I understand that what I said was wrong and shouldn't be said on a family-friendly server. Especially during a time like this, it doesn't make it any better. My use of the n-word was completely on accident and was not intended to hurt or discriminate anyone. It wasn't directed at anybody, nor was it in an aggressive tone/manner. I seldom speak in chat as it is, so I can assure you that this incident will never happen again. My main question for my mute is, why am I getting punished again for this? Right after I said the word, Kitty (trusted) muted me for 30 minutes and I served that time. Since then, I haven't broken any rules, so this second punishment seems unjust and unfair.
The purpose of this appeal is so I can be unmuted or at least lessen my sentence to a temporary mute.
