I've been using Sphax, Soartex Fanver, Faithful and John Smith.
Can anyone suggest some other good ones?

Try experimenting with some custom soartex packs.
Also check out pamplemousse, urbancraft, inspiration and flows HD

I have yet to find a texture pack as good as default . Default is a perfect mix of simple and complex. All the texture packs i have tried either make stuff too simple or too complex. Especially trees, if someone finds a texture pack which doesn't absolutely butcher how trees look please tell me.
Thanks,
Jdude
